Story
The Vieilles Charrues Festival started 16 years ago, in the middle of Brittany, as a small volunteer-led community project.
It has now become one of the largest music events in
Europe attracting 180000 spectators during three days. Every summer, an increasingly
enthusiastic crowd comes to enjoy the musical performances
of today’s and tomorrow’s stars in the natural amphitheatre of Kerampuilh.
The success of the festival, a great source of pride for the region, relies on
the contribution of more than 5 000 volunteers.
The festival has three of the biggest stages in Europe and welcomes over 80 bands.
The choice of performers is amazingly diverse and it is that diversity which
is at the very heart of the festival’s success.
